What is Military Time?

Military time is told on a continuous 24 hour clock. Rather than distinguishing
between morning (AM) and afternoon (PM), the time is read sequentially
from 0001 to 2400.
For example, fifteen minutes past midnight is written as 0015 and
spoken
as "zero, zero, fifteen."
12 Hour system: 12.15 AM
One thirty in the morning is written "0130" and spoken as "zero, one,
thirty."
12 Hour system: 1.30 AM
Two o'clock in the afternoon is two hours after twelve and therefore is
written as "1400"
and spoken as "fourteen hundred."
12 Hour system: 2.00 PM
Quarter to ten in the evening is written as "2145" and spoken as
"twenty-one, forty-five."
12 Hour system: 09.45 PM
One o'clock / after midnight, this time is spoken as "zero one hundred."
12 Hour system: 1.00 AM
One o'clock / After noon, this is spoken as "thirteen hundred."
12 Hour system: 1.00 PM
Five o'clock / In the morning, the time is spoken as "zero five hundred."
12 Hour system: 05.00 AM
Five o'clock / In the afternoon, it is "seventeen hundred."
12 Hour system: 05.00 PM
Ten o'clock / Before noon, this is "ten hundred."
12 Hour system: 10.00 AM
Ten o'clock /
At night, this is referred to as "twenty-two hundred."
