About this image: Hovercraft "Swift" from the HoverSpeed company landing on the beach in France
This was an interesting trip, travelling from this beach in France to Dover England on the HoverSpeed Hovercraft “Swift”. These very large and fast hovercrafts have all been decommissioned and now reside only in a museum.

These crafts where able to carry cars, trucks and buses along with passengers across the ocean between France and England in a very short time (I'm not sure anymore how long the duration was of the crossing).

On this particular photo we were waiting for the Hovercraft "Swift" to "park" on this beach in France to board her for a daytrip to the pretty town Dover in England

About this image: A rainy day at Heathrow Airport

While waiting for the boarding to commence, we took this photo of the British Airways Concorde while enjoying champagne and appetizers in the British Airways Lounge at Heathrow Airport, London. Through all of our travels we have utilized many Airline Lounges and the British Airways Lounge at Heathrow Airport is the top rated lounge in our books. This was a fitting photo of the British Airways Concord sitting on the tarmac in the rain just two weeks before her final flight!
