Grizzly (Alaska Brown)Bear on shore in Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: Grizzly (Alaska Brown) bear doing morning exercises
This Grizzly (Alaska Brown) Bear was kind of mulling about when we arrived. In this photo it appears that he is doing morning calisthenics and exercises, starting with some stretching of the hamstrings and a few muscle warm-ups.
Tufted Puffin in Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: “Yo' Dude!”
The Tufted Puffin is one of the coolest birds we have seen on our entire trip. With their stubby beak, slightly pulled back facial expression and their “swooped over the top” long hair, which are actually feathers, they have the cool look of someone that has it all together.
Winter is coming to Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: Winter has begun showing it's growling teeth
Cruising along the shore heading towards North Sandy Cove to anchor for the evening, it remained a cold, relatively calm day. Looking up and to the East we spied this mountain face with a dusting of fresh snow and frost.

Foliage covers every flat area in Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: “Waterfront property for sale with incredible ocean views”
Looking like a condo development in California, the mosses, shrubs and flowers are growing on every square inch of flat surface are they can find.
Foliage growing on rock face in Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: “Only One exclusive location remaining!”
With all of the other flat areas already taken over and with tenants moved in, this small group of greenery decided to push the trend and build into the vertical rock face. A little innovative engineering and “Voila” you have a new home.
Ice frost settles into evergreens in Glacier Bay National Park
About this image: The frost is creeping closer
As we cruised a little further we glanced upwards, with building trepidation, to see what Jack Frost was up to. Jack Frost had definitely been here and he was busier than on the last mountain! The frost covering had extended a little lower, but looked very peaceful as it stretched across the mountainside, maintaining a level altitude, regardless of terrain.
